{"product_id":"jean-kent-3955","title":"Jean Kent - 3955","description":"British actress who matured in the 1940s from a pretty bit of decoration feeding lines to Arthur Askey and Jimmy Hanley into a sexy femme fatale.\n\nKent was born into show business with her parents working the Music Halls and joined the chorus at theWindmill Theatre at the age of fifteen.\n\nThe stage review Apple Sauce (in which she was stooge to Max Miller) got her noticed and a contract at Gainsborough.\n\nHer films for the studio include Fanny By Gaslight (1944), Madonna of the Seven Moons (1944), Waterloo Road (1945), The Rake's Progress (1945), The Wicked Lady (1945), The Magic Bow (1946), Bond Street (1948), Sleeping Car To Trieste (1948), The Woman in Question (1950), The Browning Version (1951), The Prince and the Showgirl (1957) and The Grip of the Strangler (1958).\n\nThis is a fine original vintage black and white J.Arthur Rank publicity photograph (8\" x 10\"), nicely signed across the image in blue fountain pen ink. In the dark area to the left of the image is the imprint of an address, presumably of the collector (the envelope was clearly over the photograph as it was addressed); this can, however, only be seen by tilting the image to the light. The odd light \"ding\" and corner tip bump but in good overall condition. (A contemporary collector's note to reverse dates this to October 1948.)","brand":"Clickautographs","offers":[{"title":"1colour \/ 1size \/ Authentic","offer_id":57853634117964,"sku":"122","price":30.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1067\/9222\/3052\/files\/jean_kent_8_x_10.jpg?v=1785520224","url":"https:\/\/midsussexcollectibles.com\/en-gb\/products\/jean-kent-3955","provider":"Mid Sussex Collectibles","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
