A French Phillips record of 1963 was re-released in America in 1967 to great success. He toured the world from 1967 and in 1968 played at the Royal Variety Performance in London.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eDe Plata died in a retirement home in Montpellier on 6 November 2014.
