{"product_id":"rosemary-clooney-14505","title":"Rosemary Clooney - 14505","description":"American singer and actress, aunt of heartthrob George Clooney.\n\nAt age 13, singer Rosemary Clooney crossed the river from her Kentucky hometown to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she and her sister Betty sang on a local radio station. In 1949 she was signed to a solo record contract by Columbia's legendary musical director Mitch Miller. Two years later, she scored her first hit, the novelty song\n\nCome On'a My House which she reprised in her first film, The Stars are Singing (1952).\n\nParamount hoped to turn Clooney into a movie star, but after Here Come the Girls (1953), Red Garters (1954) and White Christmas (1954), she grew weary of Hollywood. Concentrating on television, Clooney starred in several network series, and also starred in her own 39-week syndicated variety show in 1955, which was distinguished by its offbeat guest-star lineup (including such non-musical celebrities as Buster Keaton and Boris Karloff!)\n\nAfter successful treatment for alcohol dependency in the 1960s she later launched a whole new career on the concert stage as a jazz vocalist.\n\nThis is an exceptionally pretty black and white photograph (8\" x 10\"), boldly signed (\"Thank you - Rosemary Clooney\") in blue ink. In excellent condition.","brand":"Clickautographs","offers":[{"title":"1colour \/ 1size \/ Authentic","offer_id":57853647946060,"sku":"295","price":50.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1067\/9222\/3052\/files\/14505-1.jpg?v=1781954292","url":"https:\/\/midsussexcollectibles.com\/en-gb\/products\/rosemary-clooney-14505","provider":"Mid Sussex Collectibles","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
