Lovely German actress.
Koch was training to be a doctor
before breaking off in the early 1950s to become an actress. She appeared in more than 65 films between
1950 and 1971 and, internationally, is now best remembered for her leading role
in the 1964 Sergio Leone spaghetti western, A Fistful of Dollars,
playing Marisol, a Mexican woman tormented by ruthless local gangsters. (She
enjoyed second billing after Clint Eastwood.)
In 1971, Koch resumed her medical studies, qualified
as a doctor and practiced medicine until 1997 as a specialist in Munich.
This is a very pretty vintage black and white German photograph (approximately 6" x 4"), prtobably from the time of her 1957 Universal Pictures film, Four Girls in Town. There's a fine signature in purple ink across the image. In very good condition.
