Dutton has built his career almost entirely on television, with appearances in series such as The Professionals, Bergerac, Lovejoy, Heartbeat, New Tricks, Bones, Holby City, Midsomer Murders and Doctor Who.

He is, however, best remembered for his portrayal of Simon Templar a.k.a The Saint, in a series of six 2-hour made-for-television adventures in 1989.

This is a very fine back and white original publicity photograph (7" x 4.5") for his appearance as The Saint, boldly signed and inscribed ("John, all the best for 1990, Simon Dutton") in blue ink across the lower white panel. In excellent condition.
