Prolific, award-winning American actor on stage, screen and television
IMDB's biograph begins “ Dark-haired, Ivy League-looking Bradford Dillman, whose white-collar career spanned nearly five decades, possessed charm and confident good looks that were slightly tainted by a bent smile, darting glance and edgy countenance that often provoked suspicion. Sure enough, the camera picked up on it and he played shady, highly suspect characters throughout most of his career.”
His many films include A Certain Smile (1958), Compulsion (1959), Crack in the Mirror (1960), St Francis of Assisi (title role, 1961), The Bridge at Remagen (1969), Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971,The Way We Were (1973), The Enforcer (a Dirty Harry film, 1976), The Swarm (1978), Piranha (1978) and Sudden Impact (the last of the Dirty Harry films, 1983).
Dillman also appeared in a very large number of television series, including Dr.Kildare. The F.B.I., Ironside, Columbo, Wagon Train, Mission Impossible, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and The Big Valley.
This is a very fine black and white photograph (8" x 10") of the handsome young Bradford Dillman, neatly signed and inscribed ("For John, with my best wishes always, Bradford Dillman") in blue fountain pen ink. Light waviness of the right edge of the photograph, but otherwise in very good condition.
