This is part of the Osprey pouch ensemble. You can fit three STANAG/5.56/SA80 magazines and still close the pouch. Unlike all of the other pouches in the set, this has PALS/MOLLE webbing on the outside, too. This means that you can mount other, smaller, pouches to it; this can be seen in reference photographs of troops on deployment.
