Great Calcutta-born Bollywood superstar. Kapoor made his film debut as a child, appearing in four films between 1948 and 1953. He went on to appear in 148 Hindi films, in 61 of which he was he sole hero (35 of these were super-hits) and 55 multi-star films in which he was one of the heroes (33 were super-hits). Kapoor also appeared in a number of English-language films, including James Ivory's Shakespeare-Wallah (1965), Bombay Talkie (1970) and Heat and Dust (1983). He went into the history books in 1978 for being the very first Indian actor to give an on-screen kiss to his co-star in Satyam Shivam Sundaram. This is a handsome black and white photograph (8" x 10"), neatly signed and dated (1985) in dark blue ink down the broad white margin. In mint condition.
